Want to get away from the usual coastal decorating tones of blue and green?
Try orange!
This seashell fabric has large shells done in neutral tones, with coral branches, that rest on a muted orange background. This is not an in your face orange, and does blend well with other coastal living fabrics.
While pillows for contrast are an obvious use, the scale of it makes it perfect for curtains. And, it is sturdy enough for light upholstery.
For those who want a hint of orange, the same shell fabric is available on cream.
Another fabric where orange is used is the Seashell Mandala Fabric.
Here the orange is highlighted by the teal, blue, and deep brown that is also used.
Another shell pattern uses orange in a similar way. But, here the orange is joined by a strong yellow.
The Orange Coral Tree Fabric also uses a muted orange tone as a background for rows of white coral trees. While the white trees stand out from the orange background, there is less of a pop as it is monochromatic.
For those that want real jolt of orange for decorating, there is the orange funky shell. This packs a punch! When one looks at it, one sees ORANGE! While one might not want a lot of this, it is a fun fabric for a guest bedroom or a bathroom, where one wants a bit of whimsey!
