Fern fabrics have a timeless appeal. Whether it is someone who loves nature or someone who loves antiques, they seem to go with anything! Too grandmotherly? Not all of them are! Fern fabrics are to the earth what coral fabrics are to the sea!

Fern fabrics just seem to maintain their popularity! And we have a new fern pattern that is avialble in two different colorways! And while most people think of fern fabrics as being green tones, we have a surprise for you!

Fern Fabric Toile

FERN TOILE FABRIC

The fern toile fabric is what one thinks of as a typical fern fabric.
Its green fronds, unfurling fiddleheads, and plants with roots float over a background toile of ferns done in deep grey.
With its Autumn golden tones this fabric spans the seasons
This is out of print now, but it remains a favorite, and has a timeless appeal.

FERN FABRIC LIZARD BUTTERFLY

The intriquing nature fern fabric is also a classic!
Like a walk in the woods it is filled with small details…
The background of lichen, the small snail on a leaf. And there is also a grasshopper, butterfly, and a lizard!
The colors are vintage, the feel is delicate.

This fern fabric is marketed by Schumacher Fabrics in this country.
Still a classic, it is unique in that it is a sillouette fabric, reading like a reverse toile.
The stark white pattern stands out well from a tonal background.
It just screams summer! Porch rockers, wicker furniture…
This is perfect for a wide, gracious porch!

Yarrow, grasses, and other flowers, along with ferns, (of course), form a strong pattern with lots of interesting details.
A small butterfly, roots, and bulbs, all contribute to the fabric.
The placement of the elements is wonderful, giving structure to the whole, and the colors of gold and green with touches of pale blue make a wonderful background for the tall purple fritillaria!

The new fern fabric is also available with orange fritillarias!
