Signs of fall abound! The temperature was 40 degrees F. yesterday morning!
I started out to write about several things, and then realized, when I put in the date for the week, that this week marks the anniversary, on a Tuesday, of 9/11. After that there was brain… nothing.. what can any of us say about anything compared to the idea that 11 years ago this Tuesday many people lost family and friends, and that we still remember.
The first week of September has been a wild roller coaster ride as far as weather is concerned! Hurricane Isaac pushed a lot of weather up the eastern seaboard.
While going through fabric to put in new orders and to tidy up fabric areas, I decided the easiest way to let people know what was being dropped, or was in very short supply was to make a laundry list.
The last of the summer is upon us. School starts for many next week, and the last vestiges of summer are apparent- acorns dropping from trees, leaves starting to color up.
Well, it is high summer in Maine. The tourists are here, the roads are clogged, and it is H O T.
Daylilies are lining the sides of the roads. The orange daylily is a sure sign that summer is about half over.
As the 4th of July gets closer houses, and other things, in Maine get trimmed out with red, white, and blue!
