January Sunrise Sunset Post

So, in the last blog post, which was a post that was as much as reminiscing about the past couple of years as much as it was about looking forward, published January 4 of this year, I suggested that we all need things in our lives that gives us a positive feel, something that we could hold on to.  And, the first image was that of a sunrise over a friend’s barn.

So, at 2 am the other evening, the light bulb went on, and I went “practice what you preach”!

So, I am going to try to take a shot, each day of a sunrise or sunset. My goal is a month of them. Continue reading January Sunrise Sunset Post

January, 2022

It is hard to believe, isn’t it? Another year. And between weather, disease, and politics it seems like a harsh reality.

I think taking in something each day that one enjoys is helpful at this point. Rather than sink in a dark muddy hole, I think taking just one thing a day gives one a bit of perspective about our world.

Mid-Century Paisley Handprint Fabrics

Several years ago we brought in several paisley fabrics that have a retro, or mid century, feel to them. These are handprints. That means the screens for printing are actually moved along the fabric, by people. They move the screens along the length of the fabric, registering the placement of the screen so that the pattern is seamless, and pull the squeegee across the screen by hand, forcing the dye through it.
