While March Madness may for some mean basketball… I had never known that until a couple of years ago. For some March Madness has to do with hares!
Mad as a March hare.. the phrase, as we know it, was first used in 1529, by Sir Thomas More in his “The Supplycacyon of Soulys”: “As mad not as a march hare, but as a madde dogge.” And of course, there is the allusion to them in “Alice in Wonderland”, as well as the Mad Hatter! Be that as it may, whether March Madness reminds one of hares or basketball, we are having a March Madness Sale!
We have a lot of new patterns arriving, over 100! To make room we are discounting to $9.99 anything that has been here for a while, or is almost at the end of it’s bolt. While the sale will start for others on March 1, for those that read the blog, it starts right now.
So, type:
destash
into the store’s browser to pull up all of the things that are marked down!
There are everything from flowers, to ocean fabrics, toiles of all kinds, and more.
ENJOY!
THURSDAY- March 1, 2012
Well, March is coming in like a lion- snow is falling, wind is blowing! But, spring is on the way- the ground is no longer frozen, as is evident by the snowdrops pushing their way up through the old leaves.
In winter one can see the different faces of trees.
Most of the pillows and cushions one sees today are knife edged or piped. But, the ruffles on the tulip pillows that Sabina in Switzerland made are like a breath of fresh air!

Another postcard came from Pamela. She fell in love with the bird script fabric. See her small sofa in the Postcards from away as well.
