Well, the roadsides and fields of Maine are covered in purple… the lupin are in bloom.
June in Maine, days warming, summer starting. And with these things come the lupin!
At first it is just some green leaves that are standing taller than the surrounding grass… and then one starts to see the flower stalks… and then a slight flowering, when one mentally notes… “Oh, the lupin are starting.”. And then the meadows are filled with lupin flowers.
