Busy, busy, busy! That is all I can say. The mills are open, the new wovens are expected this week, there are fabrics to be listed, and then there is one other thing!
With Taber and Christine on board there is never a dull moment. They have convinced me to open a retail space! And, yes, it will be in the Brick House!
So, construction is underway!
We have finished all the interior construction for holding fabric,
now someone needs to get busy painting!
Guess what my weekend project will be!
We hope to be open by the middle of October,
but November 1 is a more realistic date.

One third of the way through the month, it is hard to believe. The mornings are chilly, and the fall air is cool, evenings close in early, and the leaves are definitely showing signs of autumnal color. It is definitely fall. Wooly caterpillars are every where!
Other signs of fall are starting to be seen. News of Pumpkinfest is in the air. For those of you who don’t know about it, it is a weekend of pumpkin fun in Damariscotta. It is a celebration of giant pumpkins, with events from underwater pumpkin carving (wet suits required) to pumpkin chunkin, to pie eating to a car being smashed by a large pumpkin.
For many the large pumpkins,
carved and painted on Main Street are the main draw,
but, I love the pumpkin regatta!
So, if you are in the area around the 5th of October,
make certain to spend some time at
Pumpkinfest!
