Orange seashell Indienne fabric floral Tree of Life

A Tree of Life blooms with large stylized flower and, surprize, seashells! One sees scallops, cone shells, and even a sand dollar. But, if one looks closely one sees that many of the flowers and leaves are formed of shells as well!

Flowers, shells, and leaves have been decorated with an amazing variety of patterns, giving a lot of interst to the design. The more one looks, the more one sees. An intriguing pattern, it incorporates the elements of a classic Indienne pattern with fanciful shells and flowers. 

Colors used are black, burnt orange, two colors of orange, muted gold, buff yellow, yellow green, sage, dark cranberry, salmon pink, light pink, dark purple, soft lilac, beige, and cream. The background is muted orange. Depending on the light the background can look more orange, more salmon, or more coral. The colors have been over printed and sponged, so many colors are seen. From a distance one sees tones of maroon, gold, yellow, shades of purple and pink with touches of green, on the orange background. 

This fabric is 55 1/2" wide. The large flower facing upward, with the scallop shells is about 8 1/2" (  21.59 cm. ) wide. This is a mid-weight home decorating fabric. It has been woven with a slub. It has a nice hand with drape. It is perfect for curtains, cushions, duvets, etc.
